Day wise Itinerary
Day 1: Bagdogra to Phuentsholing (170km, 4.30 hrs)
•Welcome to Bagdogra. Meet your fellow travellers at the Bagdogra (IXB) Airport.
•Transfer from Bagdogra to Phuentsholing (Bhutan border) through the most beautiful tea gardens
•Check-in at your hotel
•Visit the Zangdopelri Monastry
•Spend the evening exploring local restaurants and enjoy local cuisine
•Overnight at your hotel in Jaigaon (border town)
Day 2: Phuentsholing to Thimphu
•Post breakfast we will complete the immigration process
•Begin journey to Bhutan’s capital Thimpu which is at 7500 ft
•Enjoy the mesmerizing journey through Bhutanese Himalayas
•Enroute visit gedu Town and Wangkha Waterfall
•On arrival, check-in at your hotel in Thimpu
•Spend your evening in local markets
•Overnight stay in Thimpu
Day 3: Thimpu City Tour
•Start the city tour after breakfast
•Today we cover: National Memorial Chorten, Tashidzong, Folk Heritage Museum, Buddha Point, Simply Bhutan, National Library, Changangkha Lhakhang, Motithang Takin Preserve
•Overnight stay in Thimpu
•There is a night club here if you would like to party with your new friends
Day 4: Punakha & Dochu-La Pass
•Checkout after breakfast
•Start your journey to Punakha (3 hours from Thimpu)
•Punakha is the capital of Punakha Dzongkhag districts of Bhutan. Punakha was the capital of Bhutan till 1955.
•En-route we will visit Dochu la Pass. The pass is a popular among the tourists because of its 360-degree panoramic view of Himalayan range. The place is worth going in clear winter days with magnificent view of snowcapped mountains.
•In the afternoon we will visit the fertility temple & suspension bridge.
•Overnight dinner & stay in Punakha
Day 5: Paro
•Checkout after breakfast
•Start your drive to Paro (4.5 hrs drive)
•Enroute visit Drugyel Dzong, Paro Dzong, Kichu Lhakhang, Paro airport viewpoint, National Musuem, Ta Dzong, Zuri Dzong
•Spend your evening at the pretty Paro town market
•Dinner & overnight stay in Paro
Day 6: Tiger’s Nest Hike
•Your hiking day begins after breakfast
•Wear hiking shoes or any shoe with a good grip
•Begin your Tiger’s Nest excursion which takes almost 6 hours
•Tiger’s Nest Dzong entry is after you hike to the top and is for $25. It is to be paid directly
•In the evening, you could opt for a hot stone spa after a long hike
•Dinner & overnight stay in Paro
Day 7: Paro to Phuentsholing
•Checkout after breakfast
•Begin your return journey to Phuentsholing
•Visit Kharbandi Monastery enroute
•Overnight stay in Phuentsholing
Day 8: Bagdogra Drop
•Checkout after breakfast
•Drive back from Phuentsholing to Bagdogra
•Drop to Bagdogra airport
•Hug and bid goodbye to your new friends
